KYC Check
This is where you can verify the key details of a client, such as their phone number, National Identification Number (NIN), credit score, credit report, or ID card validity.
Phone Number Verification
Enter the phone number you want to verify and select the branch performing the check. If the details match, select 'Yes, It is a Match.' If they do not match, select 'Not a Match.'

NIN Verification
Enter the NIN you want to verify and select the branch performing the check then select 'Verify NIN'

Credit Score Check
The Credit Score Check helps you view a customer’s credit history from outside your organization. It shows if the customer has borrowed from other banks, mobile money providers, or MFIs that share data with Credit Reference Bureaus (CRBs). This helps you assess how risky a client might be before approving a loan.

To perform a credit score check:
Select the branch you’re checking from.
Choose whether the client has consented.
Enter the reason for search (for example, “Credit Score Check”).
Select the type of score you want — MNO Score, CRB Score, or SACCO Score — depending on where you want to pull information from.
Then fill in the following details:
The customer’s phone number.
The type of customer (usually “Individual”).
The identification type they hold.
The most common option is the Country ID Number, which requires you to enter the customer’s NIN (National Identification Number).
Click Search to view the customer’s credit score.
Credit Report
The Credit Report gives you a deeper understanding of your customer’s overall borrowing history and financial behavior across different institutions. Unlike the credit score, which only provides a summary of how risky a borrower is, the credit report offers a comprehensive breakdown — showing where the client has borrowed from, how much they owe, and how well they’ve been repaying. This helps you make more accurate lending decisions, reduce risk, and comply with credit assessment regulations.

To generate a credit report:
Select the branch you’re checking from.
Choose whether the client has consented.
Enter the reason for search (for example, “Credit Report”).
Select the type of report you want — MNO Report, CRB Report, or SACCO Report.
Enter the customer’s phone number, type of customer, and identification type (most commonly the Country ID Number with the NIN).
Click Search to view the report.
ID Validation
The ID Validation feature allows you to confirm that a customer’s National ID details are valid and correctly match official NIRA (National Identification and Registration Authority) records. This step ensures that the person applying for a loan or being registered in the system is genuine and the information they provide is accurate.

To validate an ID:
Select the branch you’re working from.
Enter the customer’s NIN (National Identification Number).
Enter the Card Number as shown on the ID.
Choose the detail you want to verify against — Surname, Given Name, Other Name, or Date of Birth.
Type in the corresponding information (for example, the Surname) in the field below.
Click Validate ID.
