Selling shares allows a member to withdraw part or all of their investment by converting their shares into cash through the system.

Selling Shares

The Sell Shares option allows a member to reduce the number of shares they hold by selling part or all of their shares back to the institution. This usually happens when a member wants to withdraw some of their investment or exit the institution.

To sell shares:

1. Go to Shares in the left menu.

2. Click Sell Shares.

3. Select the member whose shares you are selling.

4. Enter the number of shares they want to sell and the share value will be calculated automatically based on the current share price.

5. Choose the account from which the payment will be made (e.g. cash account).

6. Save the transaction.
