๐นGeneral Settings
The General Settings section allows you to configure how your institution manages assets, documents, dormant accounts, shares, and cash accounts within the system.
Asset Settings
Asset Settings allow you to manage all the assets owned by your institution and set how they depreciate over time. This helps you track their value, plan for replacements, and stay compliant with accounting and reporting standards.
Depreciation Settings
Depreciation settings determine how the value of an asset reduces over time. This helps in budgeting and knowing when an asset will need replacement.
Available depreciation methods:
Flat Depreciation โ The asset loses the same value every year.
Accelerated Depreciation โ The asset loses more value in the earlier years and less in the later years.
Document Configuration
Document Configuration allows your institution to define and categorize the types of documents you collect from clients, such as land titles, logbooks, IDs, or any other collateral or supporting documents. Once these categories are set, you can easily attach documents to a client or loan application and select the correct category for proper tracking and record management.
Dormant Settings
Dormant Settings allow you to define after how many days a client or account should be marked as inactive if there has been no activity. This helps with compliance, security, and proper monitoring of inactive clients.
You can set different inactivity periods for each client type, including:
Non-Client Members โ users who interact with the institution without a full membership
Individuals โ standard personal clients
Institutions
Groups
For each type, you simply specify the number of inactive days after which the system should automatically mark them as dormant.
Shares Settings
Shares Settings allow your institution to define how shares are managed for members, including the value of each share and how dividends are calculated.
Current Share Value
This specifies the price of one share in your institution. For example, if the current share value is 20,000, it means one share costs 20,000 UGX. This value is used when members buy shares or when their total shareholding is calculated.
Hide Cash Account Settings
This setting allows you to hide the balance of your cash account when making transactions. When Hide Cash Balance is enabled, you will not be able to view the account balance during transactions. Only watchers and system administrators will still be able to see the cash account balance.
